So like, for real...the reason that I totally didn't get nominated for any GayVN's, was like, totally because they heard that I was blowing off the awards for The Spice Girls concert, and they knew that if they gave me all the awards they were planning on giving me, then they would like, have no one there to accept them! Right? RIGHT!!!
But honestly, congratulations are in serious order for every single one of my Raging Stallion Studios friends, including Chris Ward and Michael Brandon and everyone else that got nominated for GayVN's. I'm soooo stoked for Luke Hass to get nominated for Best Threesome. He totally deserves it. And I'm also so excited (and feel very blessed) that my first major project as a performer in this industry got nominated as many times as it did. It's a huge honor in itself!
I also wanted to say a HUGE HUGE thank you to QueerClick for recognizing the absence of my name on the Best Newcomer list :)
For "Best Newcomer," we see one favorite left off. On the list: Blake Riley, Christian Cruz, Dean Flynn, DO, Eddie Diaz, Jesse Santana, Josh Vaughn, Kaden Saylor, Ricardo Onca, Rick van Sant, Steve Cruz and Tommy Lima. Notably absent is RJ Danvers, who made a huge splash in 2007.
I mean, how can I say I'm not slightly disappointed that I didn't get a single nom, but ya know, I'm just gonna look at it and say that I'm happy for those of my friends that DID get nominated, like Luke Hass, Ricky Sinz, Steve Cruz, Roman Ragazzi, Jake Deckard and Justin Christopher.
I'm here in my hotel room in San Francisco right now. This morning, I had by far the BEST photo shoot I have ever had with Raging Stallion. Everything about the pictures are going to make your mouths water and your dicks hard. The theme of this movie is very industrial, factory, grungy... I am so excited because thats the type of sex I live for! Rough and dirrrrty! The pictures turned out absolutely stellar. I'm my own worst critic, and for me to say that I really love these pics is a pretty big deal! Cross your fingers for Unzipped! :)
I think right now I'm gonna get dressed again and head to the comic book store in the Castro. I always make a trip there when I'm visiting here, and this trip is gonna be no exception!
I can't wait till I can share these pics with everyone! Shouldn't be TOO long before I get some copies that I can post on here!

RJ, this whole post shows the ego you don't have, and the class that you do. Even if disappointed, you can still graciously salute your deserving co-stars for their excellent work.
Maybe 2009 is the year that RJ will have paid his dues, and goes home with trophies. This year, Hairy Spice should enjoy the concert, knowing what a fantastic awards night it will be for everyone at Raging Stallion.
Dude. WTF?! Migs and I were totally gonna make this our very first GAYVN award show. You know, cover the awards ceremony for the blog and whatnot. But now what's the point? The pizza boys may just boycott the entire charade. They're fools for not nominating you. And you're awesome for handling it with such grace.
Hope you got some good stuff at the comic shop. We live about two blocks from there, and it's my fave comic store in the city.

Meatlover, you should totally picket like the WGA at the Golden Globes! Oh my god, we can make signs and stuff! Haha. I ended up just getting Hulk #1 (which I started reading and got bored) and Punisher War Journal #15 (I think it was fifteen, whatever the most recent one is!) ... Nothing too exciting. I was behind about three weeks on my comic reading and got all caught up on the plane! I read like twenty books on my way here! I'm pretty sure I'm dropping Wonder Woman after this ish... totally bored with it!

The GAYVNs were a disappointment last year.I talked about it in my "Worst of 2007" post.I really enjoyed the unofficial GAYVN party at The End Up.I'm probably gonna blow off the ceremony too even though several of your peers that I know are nominated.Funny you mention the comic book store in the Castro,I go there too.

I agree with Mac20.. Rj you come across as the guy most likely to not have an ego when in a sense you probably should! Your as hairy as you are sexy, your movies are to die for. You have one of the better blogs, interact with your fans they way you do is cool as shit. Your face amd body are everywhere from movies to blogs to Unzipped (wtf no centerfold ?)
2009 will no doubt be your time to take all the awards and no doubt some hot hot men home with you!

Hehe I don't know why I would have an ego about it! I guess I was just disappointed when I kept scrolling and didn't see my name on the list, ya know? I kept thinking that I was gonna get SOMETHING, but nah... maybe next year right? And here is the thing... I am totally crossing my fingers for the Grabbys. Diesel and I had a long talk yesterday (we both didn't get any noms) and he said that him and I are gonna OWN the Grabbys! :) Cross your fingers ;)

I admit that I too was disappointed that you were not nominated for Best Newcomer but I am very proud of you regardless. You are very classy and have become one of the performers that I truly adore and respect. You have always been very kind to me and you make it so easy for me to like you time and time again. You are the real deal in my eyes!
